The aim of Alternatours Perú Medical Electives (rotations) is to provide you with opportunities for hands on experience and cultural exchanges that will assist you in your career development. Alternatours Perú Medical Programs are challenging and offer rewarding experiences for outgoing and enthusiastic students who are willing to get involved.
Imagine spending hours of your time and responding to countless emails organising your own elective program in a developing country only to have the hospital or clinic advise you a week before you fly there that they cannot receive you. Ouch, don’t get your self in that position. It is surprising how many students this happens to.
Alternatours Perú provides a secure way to ensure your valuable time is well utilised and you receive maximum benefit and learning while on your elective (rotation). We are in constant communication with the local doctors and clinical staff to ensure that you are involved in as many activities as possible. We have established formal agreements with the hospitals and clinics to ensure the proper legal processes are followed;
The Medical Elective (Rotation) Programs can provide opportunities to experience communities rarely visited by foreigners in the back country of the Andes. There is limited availability for the Alternatours Medical Electives (rotations) due to their popularity so it is important that you confirm your placement.
